Mechanobiology is becoming a hot topic across biology, biophysics, and bioengineering. This workshop aims at strengthening the local community (Auvergne Rh?ne-Alpes area), and at fostering links between its members and with new members.
This workshop will cover all aspects of mechanobiology and Physics of life, including development and cancer, but also plant mechanobiology, as well as approaches such as micromechanical measurements (including atomic force microscopy), microfluidics, advanced 3D microscopy, or modelling.
Our keynote speaker will be Yohanns Bellaiche, From Institut Curie, Paris, who will speak about “Mitotic geometrical and mechanical regulation during tissue morphogenesis”. You are invited to participate and/or submit an abstract (see preliminary program of the day) . Short talks (20 min including discussion) and posters will be selected among proposed abstracts. Researchers not yet involved in the field are welcome to apply for a poster so as to present their research and state their interests in mechanobiology and physics of life.
Of notice, we will have a special session supported by the CLARA, thus talks in relation to cancer are very welcomed. Moreover, CLARA will make some announcements specifically in connection with mechanobiology.
The workshop is free but compulsory registration and abstract submission are open.
The deadline for registration and abstracts is December 15th 2017.
